June 17, 2007 - Beware Celine Dion ticket fraud in the UK
There are reports that some unauthorized agents have been selling tickets for Celine Dion's concerts in the UK. Please note that at this moment NO concerts have been officially confirmed in the UK by Celine's management. There is actually a local government crackdown on this illegal practice in the UK. To check the officially confirmed venue dates in Europe as well as the authorized ticket brokers, visit the official web site of the artist here.
May 19, 2007 - Celine European Tour tickets go on sale in France next week.
Next week ticketnet.fr will start the public sale of tickets for Celine Dion's concert in 2008 in Paris and in Nice. The pre-sale for TeamCeline members started last week. The tickets for seats exclusively reserved for Celine's official fan club members go up to 205 euros ($277).
Ticketnet.fr is the official ticket seller for the Paris' Bercy Palais Omnisport, a 13 000 seater where the concert will take place. Interestingly, at the same very moment ticketnet.fr is selling tickets for the first ever continental European tour of Barbra Streisand (see screen caption below). Streisand will give one and only concert in Paris on June 26, 2007. The ticket prices for Streisand are twice as expensive as Celine's and apparently the French are not so keen on buying them. Unlike in London, tickets in Paris have been available for more than a week now. The most expensive Streisand ticket is 582 euros ($786). Celine's old friend who stood her up (officially due to a serious flu) at the 1998 Grammy's might have problems selling her French appearance. Undoubtedly, in the French waters, it's Celine who reigns :-)

April 22, 2007 - Celine Supports Parkinson Celebrity Auction
 PLATES FOR PARKINSON’S – More than 30 celebrities have designed and autographed plates to be auctioned on EBAY from April 20 to May 5 as a fundraiser for the Parkinson Society Maritime Region in Canada.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit research, education and support services.
The tulip is the Society’s symbol of hope and April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month. More than 1.2 million people in Canada and the US live with Parkinson ’s for which there is no known cause or cure.

February 8 , 2007 - Celine To Perform at the 79th Academy Awards!
We can now confirm that Celine will perform at the 79th Academy Awards ceremony on February 25, 2007. Celine will participate in a tribute to Ennio Morricone and perform "I Knew I Loved You." The song will be featured on the Ennio Morricone tribute album, scheduled to be released later this month in several markets around the world and will also likely be included on Celine's next English studio album, set for release in October of this year. This will be Celine's sixth Oscar performance, which means she will have performed at the live awards ceremony more times than any other artist.

Celine Dion is currently working on a new French-language album, which is scheduled to be released in France and other French speaking countries in May 2007.
This new album is a concept project in that all the song lyrics have been written by female writers from France and Quebec. There are many collaborators: Françoise Dorin, Christine Orban, Nina Bouraoui, Marie Laberge, Lise Payette, Denise Bombardier, Nathalie Nechtschein, Janette Bertrand... The themes throughout this album, titled 'D'elles,' centre around 'Woman.'
Many of Celine's long-time friends and collaborators, including Jean-Jacques Goldman, participated in this project. Although Goldman did not write any of the songs for this album, he supervised the project and arranged the song lyrics.
Music composers include Jacques Veneruso, David Gategno, Erick Benzi and Gildas Arzel.
The first single "S'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais celle-là)," written by Françoise Dorin, will be released on February 14 in France.

November -December 2006 - Show cancellation info - A New Day... scheduled for Wednesday, November 29; Thursday, November 30; Friday, December 1; Saturday, December 2; and Sunday, December 3 have been cancelled. Celine has contracted a respiratory infection diagnosed as mycoplasma bronchitis, which can be highly contagious. Her doctor has prescribed medication to treat the infection and has given Celine strict orders to stay home and rest in order to recover as soon as possible. Celine also has cancelled her scheduled appearance at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Monday, December 4.
